Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Accessrank, Inc. ("Accessrank", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website, use our free accessibility audit tool, create an account, or use our services. We aim to collect only what we need to run our services well.
01What we collect
- Information you provide. Name, work email, company, store URL, and message content when you request an audit, contact sales, or create an account.
- Service data. Content and code from websites you connect to Accessrank so we can audit and remediate them.
- Usage data. Log data, device and browser information, and interactions with our website and dashboard.
- Billing data. Billing contact details and limited payment metadata; card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
02The free audit tool
When you run a scan with our free accessibility audit tool, we store the website URL you submit and the results of that scan (the accessibility and SEO findings) so we can show you the report. If you ask us to email you the full PDF report, we additionally collect and store the name, email address, and phone number you provide for that request.
To stop the free tool being abused — for example, by scripts running large numbers of automated scans — we record the IP address behind each request only as a salted one-way cryptographic hash. That hash is used solely to apply rate limits; it cannot be reversed to reveal the originating IP address, and we do not separately store the IP address itself.
The lawful basis for this processing is your consent, which we ask for when you request a report, and our legitimate interest in operating a free tool without it being overrun by automated abuse. Scan results and report-request details are retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the report and support any follow-up you request, and hashed rate-limiting records are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention before being deleted. You can ask us to delete your scan results or report-request details at any time by emailing info@accessrank.ai.
03How we use it
We use the information to provide and improve the services, run audits and remediation, communicate with you, process payments, provide support, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
04Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the services, your consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations.
07Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the services, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion as described below.
08Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and the EEA/UK have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA and GDPR. To exercise any right, contact us at info@accessrank.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10Children
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11Contact
